Happy Father’s Day

June 18, 2006

Pictured above is my dad, Wyman, busting open a bottle of wine at the GFB studio grand opening. He’s not big on words, but has always supported me in everything I’ve done. He shows his love by his actions. A few months ago I was home for a visit, and had a bunch of the GFB euro stickers with me. He asked if he could have one, and I said sure. Most people want a bumper sticker just because it’s free, and something fun to have. But my dad took a sticker and marched directly outside and put it on the bumper of his shiny red Sebring. Happy father’s day to my Dad, and to all you other wonderful fathers out there who support women.

Thank you Erin…I encountered you briefly today at a public library where you gave a presentation. I have a 21 year old daughter, 20 year old son and a 17 year old daughter all here in the Chicago area. As a single parent, I get those twinges of fear, are they alright, are they being safe and smart. Now I have some hands on goods to give them thanks to you. My youngest has actually hear one of your talks as she is an SHS student. I believe it’s time girls fight back in bigger numbers and thank you for making it possible.
